According to historical records, the predecessor of Gujing gongjiu was jiuyunchun liquor, which was brewed by Cao Cao's subordinates. Later, Cao Cao dedicated "jiuyunchun wine" and "jiuyunjiu method" to Emperor Xian of Han Dynasty, Liu Xie, who greatly appreciated it and used it as wine for the court. Since then, liquor making workshops have sprung up in Bozhou. By the Song Dynasty, jiandianji had become a famous wine producing area, and the local people still have the saying of "whirlpool mandarin fish, Sushui carp, huqin, jianjiuyan VIP".During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Shen Li, the elder of the cabinet, paid tribute to the imperial court as his hometown wine at the celebration of Emperor Wanli. After drinking it, Emperor Wanli praised it repeatedly and ordered him to pay tribute every year. Hence the name of "tribute wine". At the end of the Qing Dynasty, especially in the period of the Republic of China, the common people could not bear the heavy burden, which led to the desolation of the dross, the displacement of the workers, and the death of the ancient well.
