Story or myth
More than 200 years ago, during the French Revolution, a French nobleman named Marquis de lessert suffered from kidney stones. He heard that the water in a place can cure all kinds of diseases, so he traveled a long way to the place. After drinking a few mouthfuls, he found that the stone was broken. The anecdote spread quickly. Experts confirmed the curative effect of the water. Countless people came in droves and wanted to taste the water. Napoleon III was especially fond of the water here.In 1864, he officially named it Evian town.Therefore, later generations of Europeans see Evian as "century old brand" and "noble drinking water".
