Story or myth

Herbified tea has a long history. In 306 AD, Ge Hong, a Taoist pharmacist from the Eastern Jin Dynasty, came to Lingnan. Due to the epidemic of miasma, Ge Hong was able to study all kinds of medicine for fever diseases in Lingnan carefully. The medical treatises left by Ge Hong and the rich experience of Fangdong people in the long term disease prevention and treatment process summarized by the later generations of Lingnan Wen school doctors have formed the herbal tea with profound Lingnan culture, and its formula and terms have been handed down from generation to generation. Historical allusions and folklore about herbal tea have been widely spread in Lingnan and overseas for a long time. For hundreds of years, cold tea shops in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have formed a unique landscape of Lingnan culture. The unique and profound cultural connotation of herbal tea makes it have lasting expansion tension, which is incomparable to any other beverage in the world.
